Getting started
- On the TV: open Learn with Emma on your Roku. It shows a code box.
- On your phone (or this website): sign in, go to Settings, Link a TV, name the room, and type the 4-digit code on the TV. Link once; it stays linked.
- Who's here: add a card for each child and grown-up. Emma uses the name warmly and teaches at that age.
- Talk: press Talk with Emma and say whether you are in front of the TV. Then just talk. When Emma cups her ear and the "Your turn!" bubble shows, it's your turn.
The remote
- Play: a hype chant with the kids' names. Up: a trick. Down: sit or stand.
- OK: skip a video, cut Emma off, or "I'm back!" during a break.
- Replay: add credits. Rewind: the code box to link a phone. Fast-forward: ask for grown-up topics.
Common questions
Emma can't hear us. Make sure the phone or browser has microphone permission, the phone is near the people talking, and the call is on. On the TV, "Emma is listening on the phone" means the phone is the ear.
Emma asked for credits. Press replay on the remote or open Add credits in the app. Credits are one wallet for the whole family.
I want Emma to talk about grown-up things. Press fast-forward on the remote or use Settings on the phone; a grown-up approves 15 minutes with Face ID. It ends by itself, with "End now", or when the call ends.
Two TVs? Link each one with its own room name. When a call starts, pick the room.
